Orwell and Huxley's conclusions were diametrically opposed to one another: Orwell saw an oppressive government/society (remember "Big Brother is watching"); Huxley warned of technology and diversions singing our minds to sleep so that no one would care and everything would appear as inconsequential. Who do you think was more correct? While a "Big Brother" society is still a possibility, the fight is already being lost with Huxley's nightmare.
"In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us.
Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.
. . . Huxley, not Orwell, was right."
