Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
(Psalm 51:8 ESV)
1.) Our God is too kind and loving to leave us the way He found us. He has rescued us so we would be holy, never wanting us to continue on in our rebellion and sin. So He will purge and refine us.
2.) We're not the only ones feeling the shock and pain of discipline. Our loving Father trains and corrects EVERY child for his or her own good.
3.) The Lord promises robustness and health after the seasons of pain and suffering. He will see us safely through. (And truth be told, we're strongest when we're right in the middle of the trial.)
So let’s pray for the grace to thank God for every bone He breaks.
