In the Lord I take refuge;
how can you say to my soul,
“Flee like a bird to your mountain,
for behold, the wicked bend the bow;
they have fitted their arrow to the string
to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
if the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:1-3, ESV)
Yes, life is difficult, and even the Lord tests our faith in painful ways at times, but nothing can penetrate His refuge, nothing can pull the saint out of His grasp, nothing or no one can thwart God's plan.
Remember this and think through what's currently staring you down and shouting, "Flee like a bird to your mountain! The foundations are destroyed!" Don't run! Nothing's changed. Jesus Christ who went before you in this journey commands you to stand still and wait for Him. He is your Savior—not only from hell, but also from the calamity or confusion you're facing right now.
King Jesus will deliver you. Set aside all the frantic fear and feelings of needing to control the situation yourself. The Lord loves His own ... they will see their great God and His reward.
