(Acts 10:15, 28 ESV)
It seems that every generation is infected with the thoughts of “They’re beneath me” or “I hate them!” So we cross to the other side of the street rather than having to look them in the eye, breathe their air or say even two words to them. They may be too poor or too rich, too rough around the edges or too squeaky clean. How about too foreign or too gay? God forgive us all for true prejudice—the withholding of the gospel from those who Christ died to save simply because we view them as being “unclean.”
As we begin this new week, let’s determine to identify those people we avoid and seek God’s perspective and grace to reach those for whom Christ was slain and by His blood has ransomed a people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
